Sri Lanka bowlers should learn how to take wickets on Indian tracks and the batters also should learn to score well said Sri Lankan white ball skipper Dasun Shanaka after the third and final ODI against India which ended in a 317 run defeat at Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.

Indians chose to bat first making a massive 390 for 5 wickets and Sri Lanka were bowled out for 73 in just 22 overs and two players Ashen Bandara and Jeffrey Vandersay got injured during the game.

we have to rectify these mistakes and want to do better in future while playing positive cricket is always very important said skipper Shanaka who made a superb fighting century int the opening ODI.

Sri Lanka batsman were not up to expectations during second and third ODI ‘S and the result was the 3-0 whitewash in India and Indians batters dominated to clinch the series comfortably.

If the boys show intent, the bowling would have been different. Actually we have to congratulate Indian team’s performances and especially Virat Kohli played superb knocks to earn Man of the Match as well as Player of the Series.

Sri Lanka team had big pressure as Indians gave a superb batting display during this tournament. Skipper Rohit Sharma handled the team very well while Indian bowlers especially their seamers Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Sami and spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Axser Patel really bowled well to pose a big challenge for the Sri Lanka batters.

Meanwehile the jubilant Indian skipper Rohit Sharma said “I thought it was a great series for us. We bowled pretty well, got wickets, breakthroughs when we needed. Batters throughout the series piling up runs was good to watch. It was good to see how Siraj was bowling with the slip fielders. The way he is swinging the ball, he is a rare talent. In the last couple of years, we have seen him go from strength to strength.

It is the by-product of the intent I have and mindset is to help the team and put the team in a strong position said Man of the Series Virat Kohli, who scored 283 runs two centuries in the three match series. I have played for the right reasons and that has helped. Ever since I came back from the break, I am feeling good and I don’t have desperation to get to a milestone. I want to continue doing that and I am content.
