A hotline has been introduced to receive complaints regarding high speed buses and reckless actions by bus drivers. Accordingly, the public may now lodge complaints through the hotline number 1955. A National Transport Commission (NTC) spokesman said that legal action would be taken against errant bus drivers for flouting the law.
He said that a hotline is available 24 hours to help people lodge complaints regarding buses running at high speed endangering the lives of passengers. Those who wish to complain can now forward their grievances and suggest how the NTC should upgrade the passenger transport. “We are taking all measures considering the safety of commuters. Hence, we are not hesitant to take any action against anything that challenges the safety of the people,” he added.
