Compassion Services of the Believer’s Eastern Church, Colombo Diocese, has supplied drinking water to 10 villages or areas in Deniyaya.
The 10 villages or areas in which the drinking water projects were successfully completed are Kandilpana (Enasal Watta A), Pallegama Secondary School, Deniyaya Secondary School, Kandilpana (Punchiwatta), Kandilpana (Enasal Watta B), Pibidenagama, Kudagalagena, Withurawa, Rangalawila and Gangoda (Kajuwatta). The total cost incurred on behalf of this community service project by Compassion Services of the Believer’s Eastern Church, Colombo Diocese, is Rs. 850 million.
The Episcopal Bishop of the Colombo Diocese His Grace Episcopa Geevarghese Mor Makariose with the blessings of His Holiness Metropolitan Bishop Moran Mor Athanasius Yohan I has funded this worthy cause of providing clean drinking water for benefit of all people of the Deniyaya community, irrespective of race, religion or creed, a news release from the Vicar General, Believer’s Eastern Church Colombo Diocese said.
