Millionaire businessman who forcibly entered President’s House flees country

A millionaire businessman who was with those who forcibly entered the President’s House has fled the country after investigations were launched to arrest him.

A senior Police officer said that the businessman is a top investor in a leading iron industry company in the country.

It is said that the businessman is currently staying in an African country.

The charge levelled against this businessman is forcibly entering the President’s House.

The businessman after entering the President’s house had taken selfies on his mobile phone and shared them on social media.

Police information stated that the photos shared on social media have now become evidence against the businessman.

According to Police, 15 suspects have been arrested so far in connection with the trespassing of the presidential residence and property theft.

The Police have so far identified 45 people who are said to have forcibly entered and vandalised the Presidential residence.

The Colombo Central Division Criminal Investigation Bureau has launched operations to arrest those people.
