Victims of the Kattankudy Mosque massacre remembered

Victims of the Kattankudy Mosque Massacre were remembered on Tuesday, August 3, on the 32nd anniversary (Shohada Day), at the Hussainiya Mosque.

One hundred and three Muslims of Kattanakudy were brutally massacred by terrorists while they were conducting their Esha prayers, in the night, at the Kattankudy First Division Meera Jumma Grand Mosque and the Hussainiya Mosque, on August 3, 1990. Respected Ulamaas, Moulavies, religious dignitaries and trustees of mosques under the patronage of Chief Trustee of the Mosque M. Sameem Hajee attended the commemoration.

Kattankudy Mohideen Metthaipperiya Jummah Mosque Chief Imam Moulavi A.J.M. Ameen conducted special recital of Thuwa while the proprietor of Rise Sri Lanka As-Sheikh A.B. Akram (Naleemi) delivered special Bayan.
