Schools to remain closed this week

The Education Ministry has decided to extend the prevailing school holiday by one more week. According to the school calendar for 2022, schools will be opened from Monday July 18, 2022.

 Based on the current fuel and transport difficulties, the Ministry has extended the holiday for all government schools and government approved schools in the country from today (11.7.2022) to Friday (15.7.2022).

All schools will open from next Monday (18.7.2022), the Ministry said.
