Kurunegala District senior Director of Education W. M. Balasooriya yesterday told the Daily News that the Commissioner General of Examinations L.M.D. Dharmasena has informed that the results of the G.C.E.(A/L) Examination 2021 would be released by August.
The examination which was due to be held in 2021 was held in March this year due to the pandemic situation in the country last year. Of the total 345,242 candidates who sat the 2021 GCE A/L Examinations, 279,141 were school candidates while 66,101 were private candidates. All measures would be taken by the Examinations Department to issue the results to the candidates early next month to facilitate them to commence their University Degree courses, the Commissioner General of Examinations has informed school Principals.
