Fifteen who entered Australia sent back by border police

Fifteen Sri Lankans who attempted to enter Australia illegally have been arrested by the Australian security forces and deported to the country arrived from BIA yesterday.

These illegal migrants in the age group of 20 to 30 are residents of Negombo.

They had set sail for Australia on a multi-day fishing trawler about 19 days ago and were apprehended by the Australian border guards when their trawler had developed a technical fault near the Australian coast. The Australian officials deported them to Sri Lanka after being detained at the Christmas Island where the boat men are held.
