First stock of Organic Fertilizer produced by SLAF handed over to 'Lak Pohora'

The Organic Fertilizer Project at Sri Lanka Air Force Regiment Training School Vanni, handed over its first produced organic fertilizer stock of 10 Metric Tons to the Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited (Lak Pohora) today (28 January 2022) in view of strengthening the Government’s organic fertilizer production drive on the directives of the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.

The entire production process of Organic Fertilizer Project at Sri Lanka Air Force Regiment Training School Vanni is supervised by the Command Agro Unit, Sri Lanka Air Force Base, Katunayake to ensure the production meet the required quality standards prescribed by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Commanding Officer Sri Lanka Air Force Regiment Training School Vanni Group Captain Nishantha Priyadarshana handed over the initial stock of organic fertilizer to Vavuniya District Marketing Executive of Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited for distribution among the farmer community

The event was attended by the Director National Fertilizer Secretariat Office Mr. Bandula Kumara, Officers and Other Ranks of SLAF Regiment Training School Vanni.
