64 students of University of Peradeniya contract COVID

University of Peradeniya Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof. Terrence Madhujith says that 64 students of the University of Peradeniya who have contracted COVID 19 have been referred to the COVID Intermediate Treatment Centers.

 

“In the current situation, it is difficult for the university to be fully open to students. Necessary academic activities are carried out in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission in keeping with the health guidelines and keeping the maximum number of students in the University” he said addressing the media yesterday.

 

He said the students of the University of Peradeniya are currently engaged in normal education since 03-04 months.
