Liyanage Dayasena, who was arrested in the Panamura area in Embilipitiya in connection with the recovery of a hand grenade at the Borella All Saints’ Church, has provided a controversial statement before Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya yesterday.
When the case was taken up before Court, the Colombo Crimes Division informed the Magistrate that they have obtained a Detention Order from the Defence Secretary for three months under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
The Colombo Crimes Division further requested the Magistrate to issue orders to relevant companies to provide phone call reports as they required to obtain mobile phone call analysis reports for the ongoing investigations.
After taking the request into consideration, the Magistrate issued an order directing the relevant companies to provide necessary reports to Colombo Crimes Division.
