Death of Prof. Sam Samarasinghe

Prof.S.W.R.de A.Samarasinghe popularly known as Sam Samarasinghe passed away in Maryland, Washington DC, USA. He was born in 1945 and studied at Dharmaraja College,Kandy, entered the University of Peradeniya in 1963, graduated in 1967 and served in the University for two years as a Lecturer till 1989. Although his main subjects were Banking and Economics he did research on Ethnic Studies and Social harmony. His funeral will be held at Maryland, Washington DC,USA on Friday November 26.
