Senior Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS) Officer Class –I and Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Director A L M Cassim who retired after 37 years service was felicitated.
The staff of the Zonal Education Office, Akkaraipattu said farewell to their boss who had served in Akkaraipattu for two terms.
Cassim’s service is very much valued and highly appreciated by the schools and community of Akkaraipattu.
The ceremony presided over by the Deputy Education Director (Admin) A G Fasmil held at the Akkaraipattu Zonal Education Office Auditorium recently in honouring COVID 19 health guidelines. The incoming Zonal Education Director and Senior Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service (SLEAS) Officer Class –I A M Rahumathullah too was in attendance.
On the stage Zonal Education Director Cassim was sashed with a golden shawl and awarded a memento and prizes. Cassim has served as an Assistant Education Director at Colombo Zonal Education Office, Teacher Centre Manager in Colombo, Zonal Education Director at Mutur Educational Zone. He also served as senior Lecturer, Kalutara Government Teachers’ College and Dharga Town National College of Education.
Deputy Education Directors (Education Development) M M Sithy Fathima, (Planning) A M Hazeen and (Management) P M Y Arafath, Accountant K Lingeswaran, Administrative Officer A M Rimzaan, Assistant Education Directors, Divisional Education Officers, In- Service Advisors, Management Services Officers (MSO), Development Officers (DO) and Office Employees’ Service (OES) participated.
