Thirty inmates at Boossa test COVID positive

Thirty inmates at the Boossa Prison have tested COVID positive, prison sources said.

Last Friday, PCR tests were conducted on 34 inmates who have been under quarantine and of them, 30 have tested COVID positive on Monday, Prison sources said.

A special section has been set up for quarantine for prisoners from Galle and Kalutara Courts. The infected were transferred to the Corona Treatment Centre at the Wataraka Prison, the sources said.
