The Government will allocate Rs. 2 billion to develop second and third tier towns, which have been neglected for years.
The town development drive includes the removal of unauthorised structures, constructing pavements, drainage system, vehicles parks, tree planting campaigns, erecting notice boards and implementing a novel programme for the places where garbage are dumped.
Removal of informal trade stalls and repair of resting places will also be carried out under the project.
Rs. 20 million will be set apart for each town.
