The indictments against the Kurunegala Mayor Thushara Sanjeewa Witharana, his father, and two others, will be heard on May 3 before Kurunegala High Court Judge Mapa Bandara.
In this case, Mayor Witharana, along with his father Sunil Witharana, H.P. Nihal Justin, and Sunil Tharanga, were charged with abducting a person along with a motorcycle worth of Rs.85,000 on September 07, 2007, at Doratiyawa in Hewapola.
