Army extends full support to security arrangements

Army Commander General Shavendra Silva said yesterday (01) that the Army will extend its full support to the island-wide security arrangements being made by the police in the coming week to coincide with the Easter Sunday.

He further said that all the area Commanders of the Security Forces have been instructed to conduct a security study in their areas and work with the Police in this regard.

The Army Commander said that he had instructed them to conduct a security analysis of the respective areas and take all necessary measures to strengthen security.
