Tom Moody appointed as Director of Sri Lanka Cricket

Former Australian all-rounder and commentator Tom Moody has been appointed as the Director of Sri Lanka Cricket with effect from March 1, stated the Sri Lanka Cricket.

The appointment was made following the recommendations of Technical Advisory Committee of SLC in order to revamp the cricket operations of Sri Lanka

Tom Moody appointed SLC Director of Cricket

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) yesterday announced the appointment of Tom Moody as the Director of Cricket, effective from March 01.

His appointment comes following recommendations made by the Technical Advisory Committee of SLC to revamp Sri Lanka’s cricket operations.

Moody's role will be on consultancy basis, and he will have to fulfill 300 days of ‘Mandatory Assignment’ during his contracted three-year period.

Among many of his duties include the Analysis of the Future Tour Programme, focusing on the Domestic Tournament Structure, Player Welfare, Education and Skill Development, Coaching and Support Staff Structure and High-Performance and Data Analytics.

Moody once served SLC as the National Coach and led the team to the World Cup Final in 2007.
