A special police investigations unit has been set up under the Lands Ministry to investigate and resolve a number of issues related to lands.

The unit will be led by Retired senior DIG Sumith Edirisinghe and Assistant Superintendent of Police J.H.M.N.Jayapathma has been appointed as an Investigation Officer.
