The Natural Hazards Early Warning Center has issued a warning of rough sea and strong wind for the north-east, north and north-west of the island.
According to the warning issued, “Sea areas extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Kankasanthurei can be rough at times as the wind speed can increase up to (50-60) kmph at times”
Naval and fishing communities are requested to be vigilant in this regard in the above sea areas.
