J.A. Asela Madushan of Sea Hawks Football Club has been included in the National Soccer pool, which began training last Monday at the National Training Centre, Beddagana, after Sundararaj Niresh of Saunders Sports Club left the first phase of the Residential Training Camp on January 9, citing personal reasons.
Niresh had left the camp without prior approval from the Sri Lanka Football Team Management and FFSL, and is likely to be served with a sentence.
The FFSL will summon Niresh for an immediate inquiry on Disciplinary Measures. Technical Director and Head Coach Amir Alagic has selected Sea Hawks FC’s centre forward to join the pool today, after being subjected to a PCR Test. - (A.N.)
