Lockdown on Nine Grama Niladari Divisions in the Akkaripattu Police areas since November 26 were lifted on January 6.
Three Grama Niladhari Divisions in the Addalaichenai, Akkaraipattu and Alayadivembu MOH areas were on isolation as the PCR tests carried out in those divisions showed many COVID infected persons. The people of those areas have been in isolation for 41 days.
The residents of the areas were busy buying goods at shops and cafes in the areas after the lockdown was lifted.
