Although the public wishes the country to be open, certain elements of the Opposition wish it remains closed, Rural Roads and Other Infrastructure Development State Minister Nimal Lanza said.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the project to renovate the Rohiniwatte Road in Kaludewala, Panadura. The road is to be renovated under the project to renovate 100,000 roads.
Meanwhile, the state minister also distributed stationery to schoolchildren from low-income families, as well as essential items to pregnant mothers and farmers.
