A total of 527 persons had been arrested since October 30 for violating quarantine regulations, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said the Police arrested 62 on Monday for not maintaining social distancing and for not wearing face masks at public places.
He added that the Police would take legal action against them under the Quarantine Law.
Restrictions on movements are still effective in 18 police divisions coming under the Colombo and Gampaha Districts. He said that the aerial surveillance operations as well as mobile and motorcycle patrols in the isolated areas would continue.
