Three suspects arrested in connection with a Kerala Cannabis racket have been remanded until December 3 while another suspect was granted bail by the Aluthkade No. 5 Magistrate's Court on Thursday (19). The suspects were alleged to be working for a drug trafficker who has since fled to India.
The suspects were from the Wattala, Mahara Kadawatha, Nugegoda and Colombo areas. The operation was carried out by OIC of the Kelaniya Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau, Chief Inspector Linton Silva and a team of officers.
The police also seized two luxury vans and a car used to transport Kerala Cannabis worth over Rs.15 million.
