Kalutara Pradeshiya Sabha (KPS) Member Yasakeerthi Gunathilaka said that electricians in Moronthuduwa under the Moronthuduwa Sub Office deserve PS’ appreciation because they are dedicated to their service without adhering to eight hours’ service and working throughout the day in emergencies.
He was participating in the PS monthly meeting recently.
The PS member requested the PS Chairman not to transfer hard working employees such as them.
PS member Wijesiri Gunawardena, too, appreciated the Moronthuduwa electricians and urged the Chairman not to transfer them to Waskaduwa or Nagoda.
"If you transfer them, we take it as a punishment on these hard working people,” he said.
PS members Chamila Kumara Perera and Nadumanthi also lauded the electricians and supported the claim.
PS members Laxman Vidanapathirana and Roshan Abeygunawardena asked the Chairman to transfer them but he rejected their request.
