A three wheeler driver was arrested by Imaduwa Police for assaulting a Police Sergeant while the latter was travelling in the suspect’s three wheeler.
The Sergeant has been admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.
The three wheeler driver had driven the vehicle at high speed and the Police Officer had asked him to reduce speed. Then the driver offended and had attacked the police officer.
The suspect was to be produced before courts.
