The 13 Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) officers arrested for alleged drug trafficking charges,were ordered to be further remanded till September 28 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Mohommed Mihail yesterday. The thirteen PNB officers were not brought before the court yesterday. Prisons Department officials informed court that the suspects are being currently detained at the Angunakolapelassa Prison as a precautionary measure following the COVID-19 pandemic. Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris appearing on behalf of the Attorney General submitted written submissions before the Magistrate.
