UPDATE: Former President Maithripala Sirisena will be providing evidence before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing the Easter Sunday Carnage on October 5.
According to Commission sources, his testimony will be followed by former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s testimony on October 6. This will be the first time the duo will be appearing before this Commission. Meanwhile, former IGP Pujith Jayasundara gave evidence before the Commission yesterday.
Ranil, Maithri to testify before PCoI-14:42
Former President Maithripala Sirisena and former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe were today noticed to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) probing into the Easter Sunday attacks on the October 5 and October 6.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena arrived at the PCoI this morning as an observer to listen to the evidence given by other respondents including former Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara.
