Nelliady Police arrested a person engaged in drug trafficking at the Jaffna Nelliady Bus Stand recently with four grams and seven milligrams of heroin and Rs. 34,500 in cash.
The police had been tipped off that this drug peddler was operating in the area for some time and they had been waiting for him there and had arrested him.
The police had seized the heroin, the cash and a mobile phone from him.
The Nelliady Police had later produced the suspect before the Jaffna Magistrate's Court.
