Former Horana PS Chairman to become clergyman

Former Horana Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Ranjith Dabare has decided to become a clergyman. He will be ordained on September 23rd at 7:00 a.m., at the Madakada Aranya Senasana (Nachchimale) in Ingiriya. Dabare, aged 52, ​​was a member of the Horana Pradeshiya Sabha from 1997 to 2002 who was elected its Chairman in 2002. He later was elected as the Sabha’s Opposition Leader following the 2006 General Election. Dabare has also received the ‘Deshakirthi Award’ from Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, as well as the ‘Arya Keerthi Sri Lankaputhra Award’.
