Energy Minister seeks employees’ proposals

Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila has sought the proposals of the employees of the institutions under his purview to strengthen them and to identify the shortcomings in them.

He requested the employees to directly write to him the problems they have in their respective institutions and their suggestions to improve them. The Minister, assuring the confidentiality of the information provided, said he would personally attend to each of them.

Special boxes were set up in the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation, Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited and the Petroleum Resources Development Secretariat for the employees to send their letters, and a large number of responses had been sent so far. The letters were handed over to the Minister by the Heads of the institutions.
