The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued a Level 1 (yellow) landslide early warning for parts of Colombo, Galle, Kegalle, Ratnapura and Kalutara districts. They are:
- Colombo District - Seethawaka Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
- Ratnapura District - Eheliyagoda Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
- Galle District - Neluwa Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
- Kalutara District - Bulathsinhala, Palindanuwara Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
- Kegalle District - Ruwanwella, Dehiowita, Kegalle and Yatiyanthota Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
NBRO has warned that should residents see development of cracks, ground subsidence, slanting of trees, cracks on floors built on slopes, sudden appearance of springs or muddy water should alert the authorities.
