More than 36,000 released from Quarantine centres

36,326 individuals have been released from quarantine centres so far while 7,746 are still under quarantine at 73 centres belonging to the tri-forces as at this morning, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said.

According to the NOCPCO sources, 2050 PCR tests have been conducted in Sri Lanka yesterday as the total number of PCR tests carried out so far stands at 232,710.

Six more COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals yesterday following full recovery.

While 626 persons infected with COVID-19 at Kandakadu rehabilitation centre had been discharged from hospitals, another 13 were still undergoing treatments.

According to the epidemiology unit there are only 210 active cases being treated in various hospitals across the country. The total count of positive coronavirus cases found in Sri Lanka currently sits at 3111 while the recovered cases climbed to 2,889.
