Nine returnees tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday

The National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 said that nine new COVID-19 patients were found as at today morning. Four returnees from India who were quarantined at Norochcholai quarantine centre, two returnees from UAE who were quarantined at NuwaraEliya Araliya hotel and Mullaitivu SLAF Quarantine, and the two patient were returnee from Kuwait who was being quarantined at Mulankavil Quarantine Centre and the Punani centre and the other is a returnee from Qatar who was being quarantined at the Punani centre.

The total recoveries in the country has risen to 2883.

According, there are only 206 active cases being treated in various hospitals across the country.

The total count of positive coronavirus cases found in Sri Lanka currently sits at 3,101. Sri Lanka has witnessed 12 deaths from the virus so far.
