Navy installs reverse osmosis plant at Tissamaharama school

The Navy installed a reverse osmosis plant at the Debarawewa National School in Tissamaharama under the Naval Social Responsibility Initiative on Monday. The event was held under the patronage of Irrigation Minister Chamal Rajapaksa.

The plant was installed at the school following requests made to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa by parents and students. Subsequently, the system was set up in 10 days by Naval personnel.

The reverse osmosis plant is capable of meeting the water requirement of 4,000 students per day.
