Commissioner General of Examinations B. Sanath Pujitha has requested school and private candidates of the GCE (O/L) Exam 2020 to be held in January, to apply for the exam on or before December 31.
Private candidate have to apply via online while school candidates have to apply through their school heads. The details in this regard are now available in the website of the Department of Examinations www.doenets.lk.
Pujitha in his letter to the school heads has said that about 700,000 applicants are expected to apply for this public examination this year.
School heads have been asked to apply for the NICs for their school candidates as it will be compulsory for the candidates to produce their NICs at the Examination centre.
About 1,500 officers will be deployed by the Department of Examinations this year covering all examination centres, he mentioned in his letter.
