Kataragama ‘Basnayake Nilame’ election postponed

The Election for the ‘Basnayake Nilame’ post of Kataragama Maha Devalaya, which was scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed until September 22.

Buddhist Affairs Commissioner Sunanda Kariyapperuma made the above announcement, yesterday. It is learnt that several large-scale businessmen are contesting for the post.
