Since our roots are in the Hambantota district we can never leave the Hambantota district and abandon the people who have voted and stood by us for generations, unlike Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premadasa, said former Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa.
He was speaking at a meeting held at the Singapore Hall in Hambantota.
A large number of SJB supporters joined the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and extended their support at the forth coming General Election.
Former MP Namal Rajapaksa also addressed a number of meetings at Tissamaharama, Lunugamwehera and Ambalantota.
He said that his family have been involved in politics in the Hambantota district for over a century and will continue to be so in the future.
MP Namal Rajapaksa said the Yahapaalana Government neglected the sea port and airport built in Hambantota.
The same fate befell the Dry Zone Botanical Garden, Safari Park, Agro Technology Park and Tele Cinema Village at Ranminitenna in Tissamaharama.
