Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premadasa is a good leader and has a lot of respect for women, said Samagi Jana Balawegaya candidate Hirunika Premachandra in a recent interview with the Daily News.
“He is a good leader who has a great vision for this country. I am confident that he will be able to fulfill his promises to the people,” she said.
When asked what she expects from him (Sajith Premadasa) Premachandra said, “Right now it’s difficult to express our opinions or praise any leader or political party but the people including myself hope that Sajith Premadasa can fulfill his promises”.
“Premadasa must also work to strengthen the economy and maintain law and order in the country,” she said.
When asked if certain people in the party are threatened by her presence, she said, “I am not a threat to anyone nor is anybody a threat to me. Even though some are trying to sideline me, Sajith Premadasa always gives pride of place to women’s welfare and this has made some people feel insecure,” Premachandra said.
