Police use teargas to disperse protesters

Police had to use tear gas to disperse a group of unruly protestors who caused damage to the Angulana Police Station over the recent shooting incident in Lunawa, according to the Police Media Unit.

Reportedly, a group of residents who gathered at the scene of incident had pelted stones at the police station.

A protest was launched in front of the Angulana Police Station by a group of residents in the area, this morning (16) over the shooting incident where a 39-year-old fisherman was shot dead by officers of the Angulana Police Station at the Lunawa checkpoint subsequent to an altercation between the two parties.
