Eighteen-year-old stabbed to death by roommate

An eighteen-year-old boy was stabbed to death by his roommate at around 8.30 pm last night.

The deceased is an 18-year-old male from the Galloollawatta area in Madolsima. He succumbed to injuries after being rushed to the Kiribathgoda Hospital.

Police investigations revealed that an aggravated dispute between two roommates had led to the stabbing. Kelaniya Police had arrested the murder suspect.

He will be produced before the Mahara Magistrate’s Court today.

Further investigations are being conducted by Kelaniya Police.
