Fifth year coloursman, all rounder, right hand bat and right arm off spinner of Taxila Central College Thisars Sachinthana was the highest wicket taker for his Alma Mater this year with 51 wickets in 15 innings. In the year 2017/18 he claimed 36 wickets and in the following year he took 40 wickets.

He commenced his cricket career in the first eleven cricket team in 2016 as an under 15 player and in that year he was the Baby of the Team. But he could not participate in all the matches in that season. He played in four Big Matches and four Limited Over Matches against their arch rivals Piliyandala Central College and in the year 2019 Limited Over Match he won the Best Bowler’s Award.

This season he bagged 51 wickets in 15 innings and the best being against Anuradhapura Central with 6 for 32 runs and against St. Mary’s Chilaw he had a match bag of 9 for 29 (5 for 12 and 4 for 17). Playing against St. John’s College, Panadura he claimed 5 for 73 and altogether he took three five wicket hauls.

He started his school cricket career at the age of 11 and played for the under 13 team for two years and captained the team in 2015. In the years of 2016 and 2017 he played for the under 15 team and he was the captain in 2017. Also he was selected to represent the Provincial Team as a player.

In the year 2014 playing in under 13 he claimed 45 wickets and in 2019 he was the Kalutara District Zonal captain. He was a member of the under 17 team in 2017 and 2018 and in his first year he was the highest wicket taker and captain of the under 17 team. As an under 15 player he was a member of the Kalutara District team and in 2017 he was the team captain. His parents were always behind him for his success.
