New society for lyric writers

Renowned musician Keerthi Pasquel has come up with the concept to create a new society for lyricist to look into matters like the rights to their song lyrics and for their welfare. The first meeting will be held on July 31 at the New Town Hall, Colombo, at 9.30 am.

The team requests seasoned and professional as well as new and upcoming lyricists to take part in the event which will help them gather lyricists from all walks of life. They will be able to elect the committee too at the meeting.

Young lyricists who have at least one award winning song to their name, a song which has become famous across the island or at least five songs which have been broadcast on radio will be able to become members of this society.
