Over 200 Lankans stranded in UAE return

Over 200 Sri Lankans who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Covid-19 pandemic returned to the country yesterday (9) morning.

A special SriLankan Airlines UL 226 landed at the Mattala International Airport in Hambantota with them yesterday at 6 am.

The returnees and flight crew underwent PCR testing and later were directed to quarantine centres until the test results are obtained.
