Police arrest 434 suspects in drug related offences

The Police arrested 434 suspects connected to drug related offenses during island-wide raids conducted on Tuesday, the Police Media Division said in a press release. 

The Police had seized 189g of Heroin, 5.632kg of Cannabis and 176g of narcotic called ICE during the operation. The Police had also arrested 297 suspects, against whom warrants had been issued, and another 782 suspects for various other wrong doings during the operations on Tuesday.

Another 367 suspects had been arrested for narcotic related offences and 3,310 litres of liquor had been seized in possession of those suspects. 

Another five suspects had been arrested for possessing illegal weapons.
