Sajith’s wish for power to remain a dream: Lanza

Former Community Development State Minister Nimal Lanza said at a public rally on Wednesday that Sajith Premadasa’s wish to gain power would remain a dream. Premadasa’s aim is to gain power of Sirikotha by making false promises, but they won’t gain the public’s trust. The Samagi Jana Balawegaya is facing a divide, and Premadasa’s people are leaving him, Lanza said.

“At the upcoming general election, we will gain more then 150 seats. Moreover, the supporters of the United National Party are appalled by the actions of the party.

They are now supporting the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna,” he added.

“Due to amendments and other crises brought in by the previous regime, the country has been set back, but President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s vision is bound to bring rapid economic growth,” he said.

The present government has brought the COVID-19 crisis in the country under control while many other powerful countries still struggle with it, and the public has shown its praise for it. Therefore, many people would vote for the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna at the upcoming election, Lanza added.
