Cop arrested with 10 kg cannabis

A constable transporting a stock of cannabis was arrested in Anuradhapura last Friday night.

The stock was seized with the suspect, while he was transporting the cannabis on his motorcycle, police said. The constable has confessed that he was taking the stock for another in Talawa. The suspect was detained for further interrogation on an order from the Anuradhapura Magistrate’s Court.
