Bangladesh Cricket tour to Sri Lanka in July 2020 will be called off due to Corona Pandemic situation in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have decided that Bangladesh National Team’s tour of Sri Lanka which was scheduled to be held in July will not take place and will be deferred to a mutually planned later date.
SLC has been informed by the Bangladesh Cricket Board that a conducive environment has still not arrived for the Bangladesh players to take part in international cricket series, purely due to the lack of preparation of players, caused by the COVID – 19 pandemic.
Sri Lanka and Bangladesh was expected to play a three match test series during the tour, under the ICC World Test Championship.
