Horton Plains tourist numbers limited to 50 per day

The number of tourists visiting Horton Plains per day has been limited to 50 persons, and these persons are to be subjected to standard healthcare protocols, Horton Plains National Park Ranger-in-Charge, G.K.T.M. Pradeep Kumara, said.

He also said that the National Park was closed to the public for nearly three months, and although it is open now, foreign tourists are allowed only between 6:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Furthermore, no visitors would be allowed at the Plains after 2:00 p.m, and there are no restrictions on anyone when it comes to walking in the park, he added.
